Worried about a Hedgehog?

If you are ever worried about the health or welfare of a hedgehog, please call the British Hedgehog Preservation Society on 01584 890801 and they will be able to give you advice, and put you in touch with a local rescue centre if necessary.


This little fella has been around our garden over the last few days, probably one of the last sightings before he/she thinks about hibernating for the winter.


I regularly see hogs and foxes together in my garden. They both use the water bowl.


This is a pic of Hoppy – he has a missing front leg but still manages to get around our garden. This is his second year in our neighbourhood. We see him most evenings on a night camera around 830pm.


Today saw the arrival of five more new residents to Glatton, all are youngsters from earlier this year. Keep your eyes peeled for updates as they settle in.


Bramble (formerly known as Giselle) has inspected her new quarters and taken herself off to bed to do some growing.


This chap seems to be doing well and has certainly been eating well as it looks like a tight fit getting through the hedgehog highway hole 🙂


The hedgehogs are eating two full bowls of kitten food every night. There is a lot of activity in my garden throughout all nights with hogs coming to feed and drink. I am not sure just how many hogs I Read more…

This confrontation started at 00.05.15 and finally finished at  00.15.00 when the smallest, slightly lighter coloured hog finally sent them off. (Have to look hard to see the difference).  Are they extra grumpy in the hot weather?
